TOUR 1 – Wingham

8:30am – 3:30pm
Friday 20th October 2017
Cost: $60.00 pp

Here is an opportunity to step back in time. Journey back in time to Historic Wingham, a small hinterland town settled in 1853 with a rich heritage and many National Trust listed buildings, including the Wingham Museum with an opportunity to photograph people in period costume.


The tour will also include a guided tour to Wingham Brush Nature Reserve with an opportunity to photograph grey-headed flying foxes, various birds and plants, including the Morten Bay Fig, in a rainforest environment.


Walking is mainly flat with just a few steps. There will be time for delegates to have lunch at their own expense before returning to Forster.

TOUR 2 – Stroud Historic & Photo Tour

8:30am – 5:30pm
Friday 20th October 2017
Cost: $75.00 pp

The full day tour will be hosted by a local resident and historian John Chadban OAM and will include touring down the Lakes Way via Pacific Palms and some scenic coast to Smith’s Lake and then onto the historic village of Stroud and the Town of Gloucester. Both are set in picturesque rural landscapes and contain many natural features. The village of Stroud dates from 1824 and contains several convict built buildings including St Johns Church and Rectory, Quambi House and Stroud House.


Stroud was the start of European settlement in the area and was the Headquarters of the Australian Agricultural Company which is still operating to this day. This Tour will include morning tea, a light luncheon and access to local landmark buildings which are not only of historic interest but also provide many photo opportunities.

TOUR 3 – Coastal Tour

1:30pm - 8:30pm
Friday 20th October 2017
Cost: $60.00 pp

A scenic tour of our beautiful coast and waterways from Forster & Tuncurry down The Lakes Way to Sugarloaf Lighthouse and stopping off along the way at various beaches, the Sailing Club Beach, Smith’s Lake and Seal Rocks and finishing up at the Rec. Club for dinner AT OWN COST and sunset photography.

THE 'AMAROO'
Our purpose built vessel "The Amaroo" is a large, fast, comfortable and modern (built in 2000) twenty metre catamaran. She is extremely stable and spacious, allowing you to enjoy your day watching the Whales.

With three different viewing decks and an abundance of space you are assured of an unobstructed, 360° view of all marine life. Comfortable seating inside and out, as well as a completely enclosed cabin, allows for maximum comfort no matter what the weather.

A full commentary by one of our experienced marine naturalists is given throughout the cruise over our clear PA System. "The Amaroo" is easily the largest, fastest and most comfortable cruise vessel operating in the Forster/Tuncurry area, and is renowned as one of the best designed Whale boats on the East Coast of Australia.
