Hi. I am 45, live in Brisbane, and work full-time in insurance. My sanity, therefore, is maintained through the wonderful pursuit of creating photographs in my spare time.
I love landscape photography and get away whenever I can to capture the unique beauty of our land. The spiritual aspects of the landscape appeal to me the most, the balance and harmony that exists that soothes the soul and grounds they body. Connecting with the landscape is very important to me. Learning to let go of my own thoughts and feelings and allowing the spirit of mother nature to fill and guide me was a beautiful lesson to learn, and one that has brought a lot of meaning and fulfillment to my photography.
I've been an APS member since October 2009, and belong to the Digital and Contemporary divisions. I enjoy being involved in the web folios, and have just started entering competitions. In addition to landscape photography, I also enjoy shooting more abstractly with urban and suburban subjects. With a big thanks to the CDiv Chairman, Kay Mack, the May issue of Image magazine will feature some of my suburban crow images in the Contemporary Division section.
