Spring Wild Flowers - I recently converted our guest room to a simple photo studio during the Covid lockdown in Sydney. I have a backdrop and studio light and started making images with this light. This is one of the first still life images I shot there, inspired by my visit to the Van Gogh exhibition in Sydney last year. The wild flowers were found at the edge of our property.

Tenuous - The dew drops on the chain link fence was the first thing I saw when I woke up early morning in the Autumn of 2018 at our camp site in Kilcoy. The juxtaposition of the harsh barbed wire fence against the softness of the gently water droplets was a beautiful sight in the early morning light. The warm tones remind me of the drought and bushfires that Australia has experienced, with the water representing the floods that almost always follow. I ran outside armed with my macro lens to capture this wondrous scene that would soon disappear with the heat of the day.

Paper Study - During the lockdown in 2020 I decided that it would provide opportunity to try something new without a big spend. This required 5 sheets of paper, a darkened room & some coloured lights (Three $2 LED lights from Supercheap together with old Kodak Wratten Red, Green & Blue filters) Several variations followed using the same setup
