Welcome to the web page for APS members in Tasmania
Currently Tasmania has 44 APS members in the State with 14 in the South, 19 in the North and 11 in the NorthWest. The total number seems to remain even if we lose one or two, the gains seem to maintain the losses. A large proportion of these members are very active in their photographic pursuits. Some are high up the APS honours ladder, others are beginning this process. Many more are happy to maintain membership and enjoy getting together without the challenge of competitions. Some are members of camera clubs or photographic organisations, others are not. What is important is the love of photography which keeps them as a member of the society.
APS inTasmania is happy to welcome new members within the State who wish to join us. Check out our newsletter which can be viewed on the APS website. You will find a link to it below on this page. This is produced quarterly with input from members. Anyone across Australia is welcome to have a look. If you live in Tasmania and are considering joining our society, get in touch. I hope to see you soon.
This was a great weekend with 10 people coming along. The weather was reasonably kind and I am sure many got some great images. It definately is a place I would go back to with lots of opportunities for photography.
BICHENO/DENISON RIVER JULY 3-5TH 2015
This was a great weekend even though many of us went in different directions at times. We caught up over meals at night, which worked well.
CHRISTMAS OUTING TAMAR RIVER BASIN AND CATARACT GORGE 21st NOV 2015
This coming Saturday a small group of members are getting together as an end of year wind-up for Tasmanian members of the Society. Officially we meet for lunch around 12.30/1pm at the Basin Cafe. Prior to this, some early birds will be chasing first light in a variety of places.
